UK police say no explosive devices found in airbase probe

Britain's counter-terrorism police said on Tuesday that no improvised explosive devices were found as part of an investigation into a alleged plot targeting a British air base used by US forces to strike Iran.

However, they added that a quantity of petrol was recovered from the vehicles on the site.

The five men arrested on suspicion of terrorist offences near RAF Fairford were later released on bail, a decision that the UK counter-terrorism police said was "grounded in experience and careful consideration of policing powers".
