Qatar criticises Israeli ‘breaches of international law’ in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria

Qatar has called Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as well as Syria and Lebanon, "grave violations of interntional law", according to a statement from the country's Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva Dr. Hend Abdulrahman Al Muftah.

"The State of Qatar affirmed that the continued Israeli occupation, grave violations and crimes against Palestinians, illegal settlement expansion, attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians, and attacks on Syria and Lebanon constitute grave violations of international law," Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a post on X on Tuesday.

The statement added that Israel's refusal to implement the plan to end the conflict in Gaza "represents a direct challenge and a deliberate attempt to undermine international efforts aimed at achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace" and called on the international community "to shoulder its responsibilities to end the Israeli occupation".
