Warning of Hamas attack: Was Sinwar's threat not received?

There have been rumors for a long time, but they have always been dismissed as conspiracy theories. Did Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu know that Hamas was planning an attack on Israel? This is according to research by the left-liberal newspaper Ha'aretz, which is making big waves in Israel. To date, no official investigative committee there has clarified why Israel's secret services and the army were unable to prevent the massacre on October 7, 2023. Netanyahu has always sabotaged an independent investigation.

It is known that he strengthened Hamas over the years with millions in payments from Qatar, probably to prevent a two-state solution. What is new is that his government and Hamas are said to have been negotiating with each other for months before October 7th. And that Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, is said to have warned him shortly before the attack: Hamas boss Jahia Sinwar was threatening Israel with an “earthquake” because negotiations were stalling. However, Netanyahu is said not to have informed his secret services and the army about this warning.

Did Netanyahu underestimate the danger? Or did he consciously accept an attack by Hamas in the hope of being able to distract from his corruption affair with a manageable escalation and stifle the months-long protests against his “judicial reform,” as some speculate? Either way, he would be intolerable as head of government. As Ha'aretz also reports, immediately after October 7, he did not respond to Hamas's offer to release all civilian hostages without anything in return. In other words: He sacrificed the hostages in order to flee forward and plunge into endless wars.

Many people in Israel now trust Netanyahu to do anything, even if he denies everything. But there are still Western leaders who underestimate Netanyahu's cynicism.
