Series “Germany, I kiss your heart”: Dreamland Germany

If Friedrich Merz were a mushroom, which one would it be? asks Tahsim Durgun. The comedian stands next to his aunt Zeynep somewhere in a forest in southern Germany. “An unemployed shield bristle,” answers Tristan, who makes information videos about mushrooms under the username “pilzaddicted”. The sketch in the forest with Durgun in too-tight leather pants is one of many he does on his road trip through Germany.

The principle: a tour through all federal states to introduce the Kurdish aunt to the country in which she, as an immigrant, has lived for a long time. On the way they meet celebrities like Herbert Grönemeyer, Ikkimel and Natasha Ochsenknecht. The experiences, which play with the peculiarities and clichés of the respective regions, are interspersed with memes and short videos.

Starting with the joke of including Austria and Mallorca in a Germany road trip, and continuing with a Tahsim Durgun, who goes to the toilet at a theater rehearsal in Weimar in excitement about the participation of Tatort actor Edin Hasanović. The story of the Kurdish-German people is told in quick succession. Not just a light topic, but jokes break up the heaviness. As we all know, humor also brings people together.

And it also connects people who at first glance don't fit together. Zeynep and Tahsim visit the allotment sheriff, who carefully ensures that the hedges do not grow over 1.5 meters.
