National Shrine Gas Station: Dream job as a gas station attendant

There is only one place where bockwurst water, floor mats and pressure refueling become a homely something: at the German gas station. But because foreign countries are thwarting us with cheap fuel bills, the German national shrine is in danger.

That's why I had to do something. Instead of always just filling up stupidly, I wanted to stand on the other side of the fuel tank for a change and learn the operators' tricks. This is where the “Gas Station Simulator” comes in handy.

The game begins in the US pampas on Route 66. I quickly realize that refueling is actually unimportant. Instead, I first have to give the old barn, which I chose as a gas station, a new coat of paint. The cigarette display and a cooling shelf for beer and snacks ensure that customers feel comfortable. It's quite stressful when I have to mend several car tires and dent dents while the customers are asking for Pilsner.

If you're wondering why I play work in my free time, you're right. The “Gas Station Simulator” is still harmless.

In “Snowrunner,” the off-road truck simulator, I spent hundreds of hours bringing urgently needed components to the sawmill in the Russian taiga. Luckily the fuel for the trucks was free, otherwise I would have been broke long ago.

However, the “Gas Station Simulator” is too American for me, it definitely needs a German counterpart. As a gas station attendant, I would practice German customs: heat sausage water properly, knock out doormats and fill the display with the ugly flowers that scatterbrained men get their wives way too late for their anniversary.

Or, as the head of an oil company, I would dictate prices. Of course, I wouldn't take advantage of crises and would pass on fuel discounts in full to my customers. After all, it's about the German national shrine.
