Israeli finance ministry was unaware of plans to end US military aid: Report

Israel's finance ministry was unaware of any plans to immediately end US military assistance before President Donald Trump's announcement on Tuesday, according to Israel's Channel 12.

The $3.8bn in annual US military aid was expected to provide a significant source of funding for Israel's defence budget in 2027 and 2028, Channel 12 economics correspondent Yuval Sade reported in a post on X.
