Iran's Pezeshkian holds up photos of Minab school victims during UN speech

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian told the United Nations General Assembly that Iranians “have been the victims of terrorism”, citing the supreme leader’s assassination and the US attack on Minab primary school and holding up photos of its victims.

During his speech at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday, Pezeshkian accused the US of starting the war and hitting “our universities, our healthcare centres, our schools”, while Tehran “did not hit civilian populations” in its response to the attacks. 

"Iran has never ever been an aggressor, has never started a war and has always shown her commitment to the negotiating table. They imposed the war on us, but we proved that we're not afraid of fighting," he added.

Pezeshkian ended his speech by addressing US President Trump, saying that “We will never bow our head, or bend the knee.”
