“This year's works council elections have shown a further radicalization of the fight against active union colleagues. Even in the run-up to the BR elections, there were increasing attempts to hinder or even prevent their legally regulated implementation. Active works council members were slandered, intimidated by management or were so worn down by long-term bullying that they either stopped running or left the company. Others were met with suspicious dismissals. In individual cases, fraudulent bankruptcy even occurred in order to get rid of the works council and collective bargaining agreements. (…) The federal government continues to ignore this scandal. The outrageous aftereffects of the fascist labor injustice, among other things through the suspicious dismissals, have not ended to this day.
