YOUNG. DIGITAL. ORGANIZED. The rise and fall of the young Nazi group 'Deutsche Jugend Voran'

The growing right-wing youth movement, which is noticeable everywhere, on social media, in the neighborhood, at CSDs, raises many questions: Who are these young neo-Nazis?

How are they organized?

What are their ideological anchor points?

And above all: what do we do about it?

This brochure is the result of anti-fascist research from the last two years.

The focus is on young neo-Nazi groups in Berlin and in particular the “Deutsche Jugend Voran” (DJV).

Even if this structure is now less present, it was the first Berlin group of the right-wing youth movement to form nationwide in 2024.

The phenomenon can be explained using the DJV as an example.

Because although the group compositions and labels are constantly changing, the core problem remains.

Our goal is to write down research findings and strategy debates in order to make them accessible to as many antifascists as possible and thus provide inspiration for antifascist interventions.

At the beginning there is a chronicle that documents the activities of extreme right-wing youth groups from Berlin from July 2024 to May 2026.

This is followed by an analysis of the structure in which the young neo-Nazis organize themselves.

The next chapter is dedicated to the ideology behind it and the question of why the right-wing youth movement is so present right now.

This is followed by a critical look at the state reaction and the court case against DJV leader Julian Milz.

Finally, we take stock of which anti-fascist strategies have been used in recent years and which options we have to counteract the right.
