Film Ruina – about an occupied housing project in Venezuela

Downtown Caracas, a 200-meter-high skyscraper ruin, rises to the Caribbean sky and serves as a shelter for 750 families.

Ignored by the city government and feared by the neighborhood, the residents of Torre Confinanzas are building their own model of a socialist micro-society in their vertical city.

Ruina tells of difficulties and successes by building a social community out of a mass of people.

The film is also intended to once again focus on Venezuela, a country that was a role model for some leftists 20 years ago.
