“Unbroken – against the right-wing normal state”

We are experiencing an Ore Mountains in which right-wing hegemony is becoming increasingly visible. An Erzgebirge region in which the AfD achieves record results in elections, in which right-wing candidates win or only narrowly miss mayoral positions. The mayoral election in Aue-Bad Schlema showed how far right-wing positions are now anchored in society. Right-wing narratives are no longer just spread on the fringes - they are right in the middle of everyday life.  At the same time, the real problems of many people are getting worse: a lack of prospects for young people, moving away, broken infrastructure, poor transport connections, a shortage of doctors, rising costs of living and the feeling of having been politically forgotten. This anger is real. This frustration is understandable.  But our answer to this can never be misanthropy.  It can never be the solution to incite hatred against refugees, attack queer people, intimidate anti-fascist initiatives or destroy democratic achievements. It can never be the answer if right-wing parties and neo-Nazis try to make hate the political normality.  Organized right-wing structures have been active in the Erzgebirge for years. The III. Weg is constantly trying to establish itself in the region. Right-wing networks organize martial arts events, create meeting places and set up intimidation scenes. With the so-called “Black Army,” new militant groups emerged that openly followed neo-Nazi traditions.And NSU supporters still live among us unmolested - in Saxony, in our immediate surroundings, in a region where right-wing violence has never disappeared.  Meanwhile, anti-fascist people and left-wing spaces are coming under increasing pressure. Threats, attacks, defamation and intimidation are part of everyday life in many places. People withdraw because they are afraid. Youth clubs, alternative cultural venues and solidarity initiatives are fighting for survival.  But we say: No more silence. No more ducking. No more normality.  We want to show that the Erzgebirge is more than right-wing headlines and election results. That there are people here who show solidarity. People who disagree. People who believe in an open, social and democratic society.  This demonstration is intended to pool forces. It is intended to make visible all those who have previously felt alone. Because you are not alone.  Come to the streets with us on October 17th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Bring your friends, families, colleagues and neighbors. Let us be loud together against right-wing agitation, against intimidation and against the normalization of fascist ideologies.  For solidarity instead of division. For humanity instead of hate.
