In prison, solidarity in all its facets, whether letters, cards, phone calls after isolation, visits, poster campaigns, solidarity pictures and solidarity campaigns, helped me to get through my prison time, if not unscathed, at least unbroken. There was never a feeling of being forgotten by the outside world; Oblivion can break people in the long run. At the same time, I was able to show solidarity within the walls myself: whether to support fellow prisoners, for example with legal questions, or even write letters and cards to other prisoners myself. So not just the passive receiving part, but being active yourself.

My time in prison ended around three years ago, and since then I have been sharing the experiences of that time, also with the intention of encouraging people not to be deterred by prison, to show that survival is possible and to document that there will always be people out here to support, no matter how long the prison ends up being.
The event on May 26th ended with a joint letter/card writing to prisoners: drawing solidarity from the theory of an input and making it practically effective. In addition to the anger and unbrokenness of everyone I spoke to, I also noticed a certain form of exhaustion. For many decades there have been confrontations with Nazis, as well as everyday state repression and the concrete solidarity work for all the criminal trials, which in its quantity seems almost impossible, as well as differences within (the scene). All of this takes a lot of energy and uses up the last energy reserves of many people. 

This depresses me because the coming years and probably decades not only do not promise any fundamental improvement in the status quo, but rather there are many signs that the situation will worsen further. 

Maybe this would be worth having its own series of events in the future? What helps us not burn out? Where do we draw strength from? Beyond sometimes somewhat hollow-sounding slogans and without drifting into the esoteric!

05/31/26: Feminist anti-prison rally

On May 31st we went together to the women's correctional facility in Chemnitz. Greetings and a variety of music played for around three hours. A performance and spontaneous choir contributions gave the otherwise gray and dreary parking lot a new shine and hopefully gave the prisoners a well-deserved break from everyday prison life.

The warm and relaxed atmosphere helped overcome the walls - at least in people's minds - for a short time. Letters were written diligently in the writing workshop. The conclusion was found with the well-known flag choreography. Waving and some with tears in their eyes, the rally participants said goodbye with a clear announcement: You are not alone and we will be back!

06/03/26 –Lecture of theRH Leipzig: “What to do during house searches?”

The two-hour input and exchange on the topic of house searches in summer temperatures showed once again how many topics there are in this context - emotional as well as technical - that are worth taking a regular look at. What is the best thing to talk about with my roommates? How can we find ways to deal with our worries and fears? And what do I actually do when the doorbell rings (or cracks?). Discussing these and other questions has once again shown that this topic is about so much more than just cell phone encryption and that it is important to deal with the topic regularly - even if you feel like you actually know your stuff.

05.06 – Film screeningthe RH Leipzig“The Spies Who Ruined Our Lives” 

On June 5th, 2026, the Leipzig local group of Rote Hilfe showed the film "the spies who ruined our lives" (prod. by Justyn Jones & Madoc Roberts) in the Ost-Passage-Theater, which is the so-called.spy-cop-scanal from Great Britain illuminated. Over several decades, undercover agents infiltrated political groups, built friendships, and formed intimate relationships with activists. Decades later, those affected are still fighting for awareness and justice, while the British government continues to cover up the secret operation. The film left the many viewers depressed. The impression remains that such operations continue to this day and that not everything has been explained. And what was and is possible in GB also applies to Germany. Here too, the secret services and police do everything they can to monitor and infiltrate political groups. 06/10/26 - Lecture byGen-ethisches Netzwerk e.V. and lawyer C. Mucha: Stay away from my DNA – knowledge protects against access

On June 10th A person from the Gen-ethischen Netzwerk e.V. and lawyer C. Mucha gave input on DNA collection and storage. The campaign “Keep your hands off my DNA – knowledge protects against access” was presented (http://www.fingerwegvonmeinerdna.de/), tips on DNA collection and avoidance are given and the legal situation is classified. At the end, a lot of questions were asked, which showed that the topic is present and interesting for many people.

In any case, never give your DNA anywhere voluntarily, e.g. in mass genetic testing. In the case of arrests, you only have to give the DNA if the cops construct "danger in progress", which must be justified. DNA delivery is NOT part of ED treatment. Always refuse to take your DNA, don't sign anything, contact your lawyer and file an objection. If your DNA is taken, then contact the nearest legal aid group (e.g. RH or EA Leipzig) and apply to the court for deletion, which actually has to be done after a trial anyway.

06/11/26 - Lectureof the EA Hamburg:"Undercover investigators - what to do knowing they existbt?"

On June 11th was a person from the EA Hamburg for a lecture on undercover investigators and informants in Leipzig. The lecture was well attended. Some information that was collected in Hamburg through experiences with undercover investigators was given. For example, the undercover investigators who were exposed in Hamburg were outlined and explained how they came into the left-wing scene, where/how they were active and how they were exposed.

Undercover investigators are cops who investigate the scene undercover, under a different name. V-people can be people from the scene, but they don't have to be. They are recruited for their work. The entry of undercover investigators and informants actually always happens through open structures, e.g. cafés, Küfas, open meetings. So as an active person, it's no use thinking "I'm not doing anything anyway" because undercover investigators come into the scene via the "fringe structures" / open structures.

Undercover investigators usually live alone, in outlying areas, usually pretend to have open jobs with little/flexible working hours or jobs where they cannot be visited, or they pretend to be studying. They usually pretend to have no contact with the family. The deployment of undercover agents is usually between 7 and 10 years. Undercover investigators don't behave conspicuously and usually do "everything", e.g. stage relationships, take drugs, actions, crimes, even if they're not actually allowed to do that.

It is not easy to unmask undercover investigators and it is highly discouraged to speculate who the undercover investigator or informant might be. Please leave it alone and if you suspect something, deal with it constructively and don't gossip. For this reason, conversations in the scene about relationships and contacts are very important, not randomly, but with trusted companions.

06/17/26 –Lecture byRacism Kills! Leipzig:House searches in Little Paris - When they kick at your front door…

On this hot day in June, the annoying topic of house searches should also be discussed. Kill the comrades of racism! were invited to discuss their brochure again in a larger group at the event, approximately a year and a half after publication. The brochure attempts to bring together different experiences and perspectives on house searches as a means of political repression. We “spoke to those affected, asked supporters for their perspectives, collected debate contributions, formulated theses and highlighted gaps.” June 17th painfully demonstrated that the gaps still exist in Leipzig. So exactly two guests came. We don't know whether it was the temperatures, whether people are getting too used to the reports of doors being kicked in or whether they are tired of having to confront the topic again at an evening event.
