Movement October 11th

Imperialism has begun its transformation into a new phase. The hegemony of the US-led imperialist bloc is heralding its own end. This is evident – to name just a few examples – in escalating wars of aggression (Iran), genocides (Palestine, Sudan) and resource wars (Congo). Likewise, in the proxy war between NATO and Russia in Ukraine, thousands of lives of often forcibly recruited workers are being sacrificed for European and US interests. Elsewhere, the US empire is increasingly striving to claim absolute power in Latin America, which from the US perspective is seen as its own zone of influence, also known as the “backyard”, as shown in extreme brutality in Cuba and Venezuela.

Fearful of drowning, the beast lashes out wildly. The material superiority is dwindling more and more and the main competitor China - and with it many of the People's Republic's allies - is gaining global influence. The capitalists are fomenting crisis after crisis: be it the imminent climate collapse, the fascization of Western states, the increasing surveillance by AI and the aggressive redistribution from the bottom up.

The ruling class's lies are becoming more and more obvious. They are trying to play us for fools by telling us that there is a ceasefire in Gaza. By declaring legitimate and necessary resistance as “terrorism”. By referring to Palestine as “Israel.” In doing so, they try to maintain the status quo: white supremacy that allows them to accumulate capital unchecked and expand their territory by force.

In the Congo, multinational corporations in the service of Western powers have been promoting genocide for over 30 years in order to sink the country into chaos. Active destabilization makes it easier to mine resources and exploit the country. The same thing is happening in Sudan, where a so-called "civil war" is being fueled in order to exploit the numerous natural resources.

These are just a few examples out of too many that show that millions of human lives (especially black and brown lives) don't give a shit to those in power. What matters are short-term profits. All at the expense of people and nature.

The US empire is acting with military force and a size that exceeds all previous dimensions. Furthermore, the US military is by far the largest individual consumer of fossil fuels and therefore the largest polluter in the world.

Our individual initiatives to protect and respect the environment fade into utter insignificance in the face of the raging beast. But the focus on individual consumer behavior reveals a deeper mechanism: sustainable behavior is raised to the standard and anyone who deviates from it is condemned. The logic behind it: “Divide and rule”

This puts our focus and energy on controlling each other rather than stopping the thousands of bombs that are completely destroying people and nature. Symptom control is hyped up as a solution; Valuable time that we could use in the fight for climate justice is lost.

We must finally understand: the fight against the global war machine and the fight for climate justice are one and the same fight!

Bourgeois democracy wants to make it clear to us that we can change something through voting and sells us that we can “save” nature with our individual consumer behavior. Democracy tells us that “all people are equal.” But if we look more closely, we see bourgeois democracy as part of the problem. Because it too is only a means of oppressing the people and depriving them of a free life and thus satisfying the capital interests of the ruling class. Under the pretext of “democratization” (actually “civilization”), countries have always been attacked, excessive exploitation legitimized and protests violently suppressed. The external borders are being upgraded and people are being made illegal. Militarization and rearmament are being promoted at the expense of health and education. Fascist ideas are springing up like mushrooms and are manifesting themselves in the form of parties, in legislative proposals, in media agitation, or in the antifa ban. The discourse is gradually being shifted towards the right with the help of liberal parties. We are heading straight into a war that is manifested externally through increasing military violence and internally through increasing authoritarianization.

We must finally understand: Fascization is a necessity in war and crisis. Bourgeois democracy and fascism go hand in hand.

We live in an era in which capitalism is becoming fascistic again. The war machine is being deployed under the pretext of defending Western values. Constructing scapegoats like Russia, China and Iran plays a central role. Through this enemy logic, those in power stir up fears, prevent them from being recognized as the real people responsible for these problems and thus create unity at home. Through this, the ruling class is trying to divide us - the people. Your strategy here too: “divide and rule”.

But their imperialist fairy tales are becoming more and more transparent. Our enemy is not in any trenches. He is not sitting at home unemployed and he is definitely not the one fleeing war, hunger or misery. Our enemy is in the banks, in government buildings and in the executive suites of billion-dollar corporations.

Based on this division, government measures such as the 2027 relief package are being waved through without significant resistance. In the name of “defense capability,” billions are being spent on the military and millions are being saved on the backs of the working class. Who benefits from it? The industrial-military complex: defense companies, banks, insurance companies, pension funds. They all invest in the war and rearmament machinery. Behind war and crisis is capital.

Palestinians have been resisting Zionist colonization for 101 years. This October marks the third anniversary of the genocide in Gaza. In El Obeid in Sudan, there is a risk of a massacre similar to that which happened in El Fasher, when thousands of civilians were killed within two days. Our government has adopted Relief Package 27: This means

less money for everyone, higher tuition fees, hardly any research funding, a lot of money for the military. Our world is on fire. The sweat on our foreheads; the gentlest expression of climate collapse. A monster is brewing over the Pacific: El Niño. Millions of people are fleeing or being killed by genocide, war or the climate crisis.

All of this and so much more is happening before our eyes, but state institutions and governments are doing nothing. On the contrary: you and corporations are profiting from these crises, making profits at levels never seen before. Left-wing reformism doesn't help against this either, because nothing can be repaired here. The system we live in should be the same way

work: We live under capitalism and it feeds on crises.

But we are not helpless in the face of this! We won't let ourselves get down. With even more strength and energy and new, creative strategies, we will take to the streets of Bern on October 11th, loud and combative. We will all resist! Just as our brothers and sisters in Falastin, Congo, Western Sahara, Sudan, Sápmi, Mapu, Turtle Island, Abya Yala, Alkebulan, Kashmir, Tamil Eelam, Myanmar, Venezuela, Cuba, Beirut, Rojava and in so many places in so many places in the world have been doing for a long time: They have no choice but to defend their anarchist, socialist, ecological and feminist ways of life with their lives. And all this under military fire from the rabid imperialist beast.

For a movement of the masses that brings the flames of revolution to our streets! Because only a united movement of solidarity can overthrow the capitalist system!

Because we despise their view of the world and their power belongs to everyone!

Because we won't lie in the trenches for their profit!

Because we will only be free when everyone is free!
