Clear message: Anyone who votes for the AfD is complicit

 

Anyone who votes for the AfD bears responsibility. Not sometime later, when the shit is already happening - but today. Here and now.

In Saxony-Anhalt, enough people voted for the AfD on September 6, 2026 that the Faschos became the strongest force with 43.8 percent and only narrowly missed an absolute majority. Thanks to you, fascists, racists, ethnic and nationalists are once again involved in the question of power. "Never again"? For too many, this was apparently just an empty phrase. Since 1945, fascists have been so close to real power again. This must be clear to everyone.

And that doesn’t just apply to Saxony-Anhalt. Anyone who votes for the AfD anywhere in this country - whether in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in Berlin or elsewhere - is making themselves part of the problem. There are no innocents. There are no passers-by. And there is certainly no such thing as “I only voted in protest.” This excuse is a cheap lie. Anyone who gives their vote to a racist, ethnic, nationalist and militarist party supports exactly what it stands for: exclusion, inhumanity and the dismantling of basic democratic and anti-fascist values.

Democracy doesn't just mean checking boxes. Democracy also means taking responsibility for the direction you strengthen. Anyone who strengthens fascism strengthens exclusion and violence. Anyone who votes for the AfD consciously decides to give these forces power - and bears responsibility for what they do with it.

This is especially true now, a few days before the elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the House of Representatives election in Berlin on September 20, 2026. Anyone who votes for the AfD there will continue what has already happened in Saxony-Anhalt.

Be clear: There is no such thing as “I knew nothing.” There is no such thing as “that’s not what I meant”. There is no sitting back comfortably when the consequences become apparent. Every vote for the AfD is a vote for fascism. Whoever gives them away is part of the problem – and bears full responsibility.

Bearing responsibility here and now means: Don't vote for the fascists. No excuses. No innocence.
