[HH] Antifa instead of IMK - Against the shift to the right and repression!

From 2.12. Hamburg will host the Interior Ministers Conference (IMK) at the CCH from December 4th, 2026.

Topics on the table include questions of internal security, civil defense capability and police and social crisis management. Behind closed doors, the ministers will discuss, for example, the further implementation of the inhumane CEAS reform, further powers and equipment for security authorities and the integration of the Bundeswehr in the IMK itself and in civilian structures.

Looking at the past IMKs and the course of the current federal government, we can almost certainly assume that the decisions and results of the IMK will bring with them further militarization and increased repression. In spring 2026, for example, the IMK decided to examine a ban on the 'Indymedia' platform and dedicated two agenda items to "fighting left-wing extremism", while the shift to the right was not worth a TOP to them.

But the global shift to the right doesn't just happen in Germany either. The established “centre” parties have been implementing what the AfD is demanding step by step for years. The shift to the right is not only reflected in election results. It changes what is talked about, which demands are considered legitimate and against whom state policy is directed.

It is all the more significant that the IMK does not even make this dangerous development an issue. On the contrary: the actions of the ministers clearly show what they care about. Capitalism, wars and crises should be safeguarded through increased repression, exclusion and racist isolation. Anyone who is upgrading the European border regime with ever more lethal severity has actually been following the script of the extreme right for a long time.

The fact that an AfD interior minister could now sit at the IMK table in Hamburg for the first time is no longer a breach of the dam. It is the logical consequence of a development whose ground has long been prepared by the “center”. The boundaries of what can be said and done are shifting further and further to the right - and the IMK itself is becoming the engine and playing field for right-wing agitation.

At the same time, we are confronted with multiple social, political and ecological crises and challenges. However, it is very clear to us that we can only overcome this together through solidarity. Even more harshness, repression and militarization, as the IMK proposes, will only reinforce the fatal course and allow misanthropic, fascist ideologies to gain further ground.

Therefore: Come to the demo on December 3rd, 2026 at 7 p.m. in front of the Rote Flora. Let's take the frustration and anger about unspeakable politics onto the streets together.

Against increasing authoritarianism, against repression and the shift to the right. For a solidarity-based, open society. Antifa instead of IMK!
