Both teams remain undefeated and are already through to the semi finals before they square off for top spot on Friday.

In Group B France and Australia confirmed their places in the last four with thumping wins over New Zealand and Scotland. France meet Australia on Friday.

MEN’S CRICKET: New Zealand will be without the injured Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman when they face India at Auckland’s Eden Park today for the first leg of their five-match 50-over series.

The Indians come into the game on the back of a 3-2 win in the Twenty20 series that concluded on Sunday but will also be missing paceman Prasidh Krishna.

The Kiwis are currently ranked as the world’s third-best one-day team, a place above India.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Championship table-toppers Middlesbrough are on an eight-match unbeaten run, with England under-21 star Will Lanksheer scoring in their last five games, when they visit misfiring Wrexham this evening.

Wolves, four points off the pace in third, are at Bristol City while the League’s leading goalscorers West Ham, who sit a further two points back just inside the play-off zone, are at Cardiff City.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Chicago Bears won 34-17 at reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday morning to round up the eighth week of NFL action.

The Bears had beaten last year’s runners-up New England in their previous game. Buffalo, San Francisco and Minnesota still top the rankings with just one defeat while the Los Angeles Chargers remain the only team without a win after their 24-9 loss at city rivals the Rams.
