The Israeli military said it targeted a Hamas militant.

A separate attack on the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza killed a boy, sources at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said.

Six people were killed in one morning, following strikes on Monday that killed at least four.

More than 1,500 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed by Israel since the ceasefire agreed last year, according to the territory’s health ministry.

It came as Majed al-Ansari, spokesman for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, said Israeli leaders were not committed to a negotiated end to the war and were focused only on “war and death and destruction” ahead of Israel’s first national elections since the genocide began.

“Sadly, right now we do not have a partner for peace in Israel,” he said. “You look at all the statements coming out from all the political parties… Does any of them even talk about peace with Palestinians?”

Mr Ansari said negotiations between Iran and the US are continuing despite growing tensions and fears of renewed fighting.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested Israel and the US could launch new attacks on Iran in a video of a call with Donald Trump, in which he thanked the US president for his endorsement a week before the elections.

“Donald, we have a job to finish,” he said. “We’ll finish it, and no one else will do it.”

Meanwhile, two tankers were set ablaze after hitting mines in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Israeli air strikes were also reported on southern Lebanon’s Qanatra region and Nabetieh al-Fawqa town.
