City are the only team to have won their opening two matches of the new season, beating Birmingham and Aston Villa.
Ahead of tonight’s clash with Liverpool, head coach Jeglertz told a press conference: “It’s very early but we’ve played two games, scored seven goals, created a lot of chances, so very pleased with that.
“But also the individual performances. A lot of players are ready now, they’ve found relationships, a couple of new players coming in and they are contributing to the team already this early in September. We are on a very good level at the moment, I think.”
England winger Lauren Hemp has stood out with her performances, and Jeglertz believes the best is yet to come from the 26-year-old.
“What she’s doing every week for us is amazing,” said the Swede.
Liverpool finished 11th last season but have four points from their first two matches, and head coach Gareth Taylor has called for an energetic display at the Academy Stadium.
Taylor said on liverpoolfc.com: “We want to be really aggressive with and without the ball. That has got to be our way.”
