SCOTLAND’S largest NHS board has urged the public to consider if their condition is “life or limb” before turning up at “extremely busy” A&E.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), which has not met national targets to admit, discharge or transfer patients from A&E within four hours since July 2020, called on the public to consider other options.
“Our accident and emergency departments are extremely busy at the moment,” said Dr Claire Harrow, deputy medical director for acute services at NHSGGC.
