Yemeni government forces have claimed three air attacks on Houthi positions in the al-Misrakh district of the Taiz governorate.
The city of Taiz- which is government-held- has been subject to an ongoing Houthi siege. The blockade has triggered a spiralling humanitarian crisis in the city, as road closures bar vital supplies, including fuel, from entering.
Laurent Bukera, the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen warned that the city's health system is "close to collapse", while the UN World Food Programme (WFP) said that the conflict has blocked lifesaving assistance from reaching 800,000 people, including 600,000 who depend on aid in the city.
Meanwhile, Houthi media reports that at least 15 people have been killed, mostly women and children, in a series of Saudi strikes in the al-Shariyah area of Yemen’s Bani Hashish district. According to the reports, some 30 others have been wounded.
