Yemeni foreign minister says Houthis expanding ‘Red Sea Axis’

Yemen’s Foreign Minister Afrah al-Zouba said on Wednesday that the Houthis have expanded cooperation with aligned groups across the Horn of Africa, describing the emerging coalition as a “dangerous ‘Red Sea Axis’”.

In a post on X, the Saudi-backed Yemeni government's foreign ministry shared an article written by al-Zouba for The Telegraph, adding that “The evidence is clear: weapons transfers, training, smuggling and shared operations are connecting actors once treated as separate threats.”
