US treasury secretary calls on Lebanon to take 'decisive action' against Iranian financial networks

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urged the Lebanese government to take "decisive action" to disrupt Iranian and Hezbollah financial networks during discussions on Monday with prime minister Nawaf Salam.

According to importance of key financial sector reforms to restore confidence in Lebanon’s banking system.

Bessent also said he spoke about the "importance of advancing key financial sector reforms to restore confidence in Lebanon’s banking system".
