US senator: ‘Lies about Mamdani don’t change fact Netanyahu is war criminal’

US senator for Maryland Chris Van Hollen has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “lies” about New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani “don’t change the fact that Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal who has blocked justice for Americans killed on his watch”.

“If there's anyone who should be shamed & ashamed, it's him,” Hollen wrote on X.

“He's lucky he was even allowed into our country,” he added.

Netanyahu had accused Mamdani of supporting Hamas. 

"Shame on you, Mr. Mamdani," he said. "Shame on you for supporting the Hamas terrorist monsters who butchered our people. Shame on you for inciting riots against New York Jews."
