US rejects Iran’s claim of capturing underwater drone in Hormuz
The US military has denied an Iranian claim that the Revolutionary Guard seized an advanced US underwater drone conducting surveillance in the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reported.
US Central Command spokesperson Captain Tim Hawkins said that the US maintains “positive control of all of our operational drone assets”, describing the IRGC claim as “clearly desperate”.
Earlier, the IRGC Navy said it had seized an “advanced submersible” identified as a Remus 600 and that the vessel was “now in the hands of the force’s specialists to retrieve its information”.
