UK police arrest five by air base under terrorism act

British police said counter-terrorism officers were leading efforts to establish what had happened at an airbase used by the US Royal Air Force (RAF) on Sunday, after they arrested five men on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act.

The five men were also arrested on suspicion of committing offences under the Explosives Act.

US President Donald Trump told reporters they had been "looking to do big damage" at the US air base in Gloucestershire, southwest England.
