Trump says ‘millions of barrels’ of oil transited through Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has said “millions of barrels” of oil transited through the Strait of Hormuz in recent days.

“We’re getting it through at levels that are now even and sometimes exceeding prior to the war,” he said while speaking to reporters prior to departing for Maryland.

Trump also claimed the Iranian oil minister “just quit”, adding that the official “said, ‘We have no economy, we have no oil, we have nothing’”.
