Three years of death and devastation: Israel's war on Gaza in pictures

Submitted by Mohammed al-Hajjar on Wed, 10/07/2026 - 10:45 Homes, hospitals, schools and entire neighbourhoods have been destroyed during three years of war. These photos capture the scale of the devastation and the lives behind it

In the three years since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza, at least 74,000 Palestinians have been killed, including more than 21,500 children.

According to Palestinian health officials, the death toll is likely to be far higher with thousands of people believed to buried under the rubble, or in areas inaccessible to medical teams.

The conflict erupted after the 7 October 2023 attacks, which, according to Israeli officials, killed 1,139 people and saw around 250 people taken captive.
