Netanyahu asks UAE president to deny warning before 7 October attack
During a meeting in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to refute a report that he had warned Israel of an impending Hamas attack before the October 7 Ocober attack in 2023, The Associated Press reported.
The meeting came after a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that the Emirati leader had warned Netanyahu of a planned Hamas operation days before the Hamas-led attack.
The UAE Foreign Ministry declined to comment on the latest report, saying it maintains “open and direct lines of communication” with Israel and shares “all relevant intelligence”.
The AP report said there was no immediate comment from Netanyahu’s office on the meeting or his request to bin Zayed.
