Khamenei orders immediate response to any threat 'without geographical limitations'

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered the country’s armed forces to deliver an "immediate, effective response without geographical limitations" to any potential enemy threat, according to the state news agency IRNA.

In directives issued after a meeting with senior military commanders, Khamenei called for “intelligent combat readiness” to ensure what he described as “maximum deterrence”.

He also ordered an update to Iran’s “Targets Bank” to bring tangible and intangible US and Israeli assets within the reach of Iranian forces.

Khamenei further called for strengthening Iran’s military information systems, developing domestic defence capabilities and incorporating new technologies into its security and military infrastructure.

“If the enemies once again launch military or terrorist attacks, it is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions for their end,” he said.
