Israeli, Morocco agree to upgrade diplomatic ties
Israel and Morocco have agreed to upgrade their diplomatic ties, including opening embassies and appointing ambassadors, according to a post from Israel's official Arabic-language account on X.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita at a tripartite summit in New York hosted by US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz on Tuesday.
"During the summit, the three countries reaffirmed their commitment to a series of steps aimed at elevating relations between Israel and Morocco," the post stated.
They also agreed to "facilitate mutual investment and advance economic and trade relations" as well as "expand air travel" between the countries.
