Israeli forces detain dozens as settlers target olive harvesters in West Bank

Dozens of Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces, while Israeli settlers continued attacks on residents and their properties in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reported.

* Israeli forces detained dozens of Palestinians during a raid on the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, Wafa reported. Several young men were subjected to mistreatment and interrogated in a public square.

* Israeli settlers continued attacks on olive harvesters in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, attacking farmers on Saturday morning as they picked olives in the Qammas area. A day earlier, settlers had attacked the Jabal al-Arma area and opened live fire, Wafa reported.

WAFA reported that Israeli forces detained several young men and solidarity activists in the area who had come to help farmers harvest their olive crops.

* Settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, damaged olive trees and crops after allowing their sheep to graze on agricultural land in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the al-Mughayyir Village Council, told WAFA.
