IRGC turns back tanker in Strait of Hormuz

A tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman was turned back by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to an incident report from UKMTO.

The British maritime monitor said it had received a report of an incident on Monday, 11 nautical miles north of Oman, where a tanker was "hailed by the IRGC and instructed to turn back or the vessel would be targeted".

The master of the tanker confirmed that they had complied with the instruction.
