Iran's Araghchi says he warned EU chief of the consequences of backing US-Israeli military action

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that he had warned EU policy chief Kaja Kallas and other EU officials in a meeting of "the severe long-term consequences of of facilitating and supporting Israeli-U.S. war crimes, whether in Gaza or Iran".

In a post to X, Araghchi also criticised Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte, saying he "should know by now that groveling never satisfies a bully".

He attached comments where Rutte was explaining that the US's operations in Iran would be "impossible" without Europe's backing.

In meetings with @kajakallas and other EU counterparts, I warned of the severe long-term consequences of facilitating and supporting Israeli-U.S. war crimes, whether in Gaza or Iran.
