Iran arrests 31 people linked to US-Israel sabotage networks, report says
At least 31 people linked to four networks backed by the US and Israel have been arrested in Iran on charges of fomenting unrest and carrying out acts of sabotage, Iran's Press TV reported.
Iran's Intelligence Ministry, which made the arrests in southern Kerman province, said the suspects in Sirjan county were organised into networks to “lure teenagers and young people” and had prepared “large quantities of Molotov cocktails” to “damage urban surveillance cameras in preparation for street unrest and acts of sabotage”.
The ministry also accused the groups of “violence and destruction” during the January nationwide protests.
