Houthi leader says Saudi Arabia 'unjust perpetrator of aggression'

Ansar Allah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi has said that Riyadh is "perpetrating a siege" against territory controlled by the Houthi group with US support, and that its "aggressive policies" are intended to destabilise Yemen.

He added that Riyadh is the "unjust perpetrator" of the conflict, and said that the Houthis are acting in response to Saudi attacks on Yemen's Sanaa International Airport. 

He further dismissed Saudi claims that the group launched a drone towards the holy city of Mecca as an "ugly lie".

“They try to justify and rationalise what they are perpetrating against our people,” he said. “Through this, they also aim to instigate and provoke others to rally support.”
