Houthi adviser warns of attacks on US interests if Washington intervenes in Yemen

A Houthi military adviser said the group would target US interests in the Middle East if Washington intervenes militarily in Yemen in support of Saudi Arabia or attempts to take control of the Bab al-Mandab strait, a key gateway to the Red Sea. Abed Mohammed al-Thawr said any US military intervention or attempt to seize the shipping route would cross a “red line” and that the Houthis would fight over it. The comments were reported by AFP following an exclusive interview with al-Thawr on Tuesday.
