Death toll from Israeli strike on Gaza apartment rises to five, report says
The death toll from an Israeli strike on an apartment in Gaza City has risen to five, Palestinian medical sources have told Al Jazeera.
The dead include three women and a young girl.
The attack set the apartment on fire and severely wounded several other people, while Israeli drones continued to fly over the area, Al Jazeera reported.
As of Friday, the number of Palestinians killed since Israel agreed to a ceasefire and captive exchange in October 2025 has reached 1,441. More than 5,030 people have also been wounded in Israel's near-daily attacks on Gaza.
