Board of Peace meeting descends into Turkey-Israel shouting match: Israeli media
A closed-door meeting at the US-led Board of Peace for Gaza descended into a shouting match between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the Israeli representative, Michael Eisenberg, the Israeli Channel 13 is reporting.
Without citing sources, Channel 13 reported that the alleged altercation began when Fidan accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, and prompted intervention from Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump's son-in-law and the US Special Envoy for Peace.
The UN Security Council agreed to give the Board of Peace a mandate to deploy an international stabilisation force to Gaza last November, despite anger over the Board's lack of Palestinian representation.
