Al-Aqsa Mosque sees mass settler raids during Jewish holiday

Thousands of Israeli settlers have conducted mass raids of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in recent days, Al Jazeera is reporting, citing the Jerusalem Governorate.

The raids have intensified during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, with around 700 people storming the complex on Wednesday, under police escort. They performed Jewish religious rituals in violation of the status quo, while Israeli restrictions barred Palestinian worshippers from entering the compound.
