AI 'kill chain' contributed to Minab school killings: Bloomberg
An Artificial Intelligence "kill chain" was behind the US missile strikes that killed more than 150 people - most of them children - at a school in Minab, southern Iran.
According to a Bloomberg investigation, the Pentagon knows its overreliance on AI, which is fed with outdated targeting data and lacks human oversight, was behind the deadly strikes, which killed at least 123 children.
More than two dozen current and former US officials, who spoke to Bloomberg on the condition of anonymity, said some Pentagon personnel knew within hours that the US military's “cascade of preventable failures” was responsible for the civilian catastrophe.
