But what are zines anyway?

Zines (short for “magazines”) are an accessible, do-it-yourself medium for self-expression. 
They are an alternative to censored and mainstream media that allows marginalized voices and radical perspectives to 
to be shared unfiltered.
Historically, they have been an important part of activism because they can make knowledge accessible, build communities and preserve personal stories, outside of the capitalist system.
