Refuse yourselves!
Deutsch (original) · Auto-translated to English
The current fight for economic interests and an international (re)order of the world is not only taking place in the “hot” conflict zones.
There are also countries that are not directly affected by war, but where the “logic of war” is still more present than it has been for a long time. Seemingly inexorably, the supposed need for collective war capability is being forcefully written into people's minds and institutions. The debates about rearmament and conscription use language and convictions that make counter-proposals seem almost impossible.
All movements around the world that are committed to a liberated society are faced with the question of how they can evade war and its logic and continue to fight for a dignified tomorrow for all. Because it is precisely these struggles “from below” in which the horizon of peace opens up. A peace that is fought for against the conditions that produce war in the first place.
The anthology Refuses You! sees itself as a contribution to a larger anti-militaristic search movement for means and possibilities to counteract the expansion of warlike violence in our present day and the transnationally interwoven conditions of this violence.
At the end of our series "In War. Against War", a comrade and a comrade from the author collective will write the book Deny Yourself! introduce. Afterwards we want to talk together.
