Trans mistrust, misgendering and the escalation in the Altdorfer Forest: This is not how you deal with non-binary autistic people!

We are writing this text to make public a massive border crossing that took place in the Altdorfer Forest in the context of left-wing structures. It is unbearable that there is such a lack of sensitivity and basic respect, especially in spaces that see themselves as solidarity and emancipation. Intentional misgendering and outing
In communication on Indymedia, a non-binary person was consistently referred to with the pronouns "he/him" - even though it was unmistakably and clearly communicated in advance which pronouns were correct. But that's not all: the first letter of the person's deadname was also mentioned in the posts. This is not an accidental mistake, this is psychological violence, a conscious disregard for gender identity and a structural outing that massively endangers the person concerned. Escalation instead of de-escalation
Instead of stopping and taking responsibility in the emerging conflict situation, the people involved refused any de-escalation. No one dialed back their egos or simply stopped pushing. On the contrary: the emotional and psychological meltdown of the affected person was taken to the extreme by those involved. This ruthless dynamic ultimately led to a situation in which violence against vehicles and massive threats against individuals occurred. This escalation could have been completely avoided if those involved had shown even a minimum of empathy and the ability to deal with conflict. Lack of awareness of the problem despite "professional competence"
What is particularly bitter and shameful is that some of the people involved work in social or special education institutions themselves. Because of their job, they should know exactly how neurodivergent people react in crisis situations, what an autistic meltdown is and how important stimulus reduction and de-escalation are. The fact that this knowledge was instead ignored or possibly even used against the person is the crowning glory. Our demand
This is not how you treat non-binary, autistic comrades! We demand an immediate deletion or correction of the relevant passages on Indymedia, a serious reflection of their own behavior by those involved and an end to the transphobic and ableist hate speech in our structures. Solidarity must be practical – or it is worthless.
