Warm invitation: Commemoration in the Hambach Forest on September 20th, 2026

In recent years we have had to say goodbye to friends with whom we lived, fought and dreamed side by side in and for the Hambach Forest. Some of them gave their lives defending the revolution in Rojava and Kurdistan. Their laughter, their solidarity and their love, their creativity and their connection to the forest, life, chaos, music, animals, art and resistance continue to have an impact on us.

On the anniversary of the death of “Sonne” Steffen Meyn, we cordially invite you to come together at the memorial in Beechtown on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 12 p.m. We want to create space together for stories, memories, photos and songs - and strengthen each other with a take-home buffet. Feel free to come with what you have in your heart - and with what you want to share. We look forward to remembering, telling and listening together.
